  • Refugee and Asylum Seeker Health Course

    This one-day course offers an introduction to the key health, system, and spiritual problems faced by refugees and asylum seekers. The aim of the day is to equip Christian healthcare practitioners and others to respond to common presentations encountered in daily practice within a UK health setting. The programme is practical and interactive, led by doctors, nurses and others working in this field.

    Redcliffe College has developed an online training course for people who work with refugees and asylum seekers. It is a four-part course which takes roughly twelve hours in total to complete: the first half of the course is in the areas of cultural adaptation, stress and trauma for the refugees and asylum seekers and how to respond, and the second half is around stress and trauma for those working with refugees, secondary trauma, avoiding and recovering from burnout, and self-care.
