Teacher China, China - CTBI Christians Abroad

You would have a degree and ideally a teaching qualification but not necessarily so. You would certainly be a native English speaker and would have experience of working with young people or adults as a minimum...as an ideal you will have /CELTA/TEFL/ESOL training or experience or, if appointed, you will have a CELTA course paid for by BIATG. You would be a Christian concerned to be of assistance to a world fellowship of peoples and interested and curious about working as a teacher of English in China. You would be a member of a church in the United Kingdom and you would be responding to what you feel would be a call to be of service in China or elsewhere probably in Central Asia. You would not be afraid of being alone as an expatriate in a very busy educational establishment with many demands being made of your time. If you had the opportunity, you would want to worship with local Chinese people even if the language was a significant obstacle and you would not be fussy about denominational issues.
