Community Speech and Language Therapist, Nepal - International Nepal Fellowship

INF's Partnership For Rehabilitation programme (based in Pokhara) is looking for an expatriate Christian who is a qualified and registered speech and language therapist. The candidate will have experience of working in communities, preferably with people from the Indian sub-continent.
The goal of Partnership for Rehabilitation (PFR) is to enable people with disability and stigmatising illness to be accepted and participating members of their communities, and to have special needs acknowledged and met by people with disabilities, their families, communities and civil society.
This role will involve training staff involved in community-based rehabilitation in Banke and Dang districts, and also local partner organisations. Therefore a willingness to travel between different districts of Nepal is a necessary requirement for this role.
The postholder will work alongside INF’s Nepali and expatriate Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
The post is for a minimum of two years after Nepali language and cultural training and is currently vacant.

As well as having relevant experience, in order to gain the necessary visa for this post, the successful applicant will need to have a degree or equivalent qualification.
As part of the role, successful candidates will develop a group of individuals and churches to pray for them, encourage them, and meet their financial needs. Successful candidates will be given the training, help and resources needed to build this team of supporters, so they can partner with them in their service.
