ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a superb opportunity for a person with good administration, team working and communication skills to provide assistance to our clients in a small but rapidly expanding department and provide the necessary back up to enable growth to continue.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
You will perform an administrative role to provide service new and existing accounts in our broking and delegated authority client management team. You will be expected to provide the highest level of service and support to our clients.
In this role, you will be actively involved in helping to acquire, retain and service our clients. We specialise mainly in the voluntary sector i.e. charities, churches and other not for profit organisations.
As the successful candidate, you will have good communications skills and will be comfortable working to demanding deadlines and you will be customer focused. Experience of general commercial insurance would be useful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the Sales team, Account Managers, Administrators and Directors through effective sales and administrative support.
- Ensuring that all work is completed in a compliant manner, e.g. record keeping, diary management.
- Being proactive in undertaking and monitoring telemarketing activities to increase productivity.
- Anticipating and responding to changing customer and operational needs by prioritising daily workloads.
- Dealing with new business, including essential paper checks and accurate entry of information onto management information systems.
- Liaising with insurers, brokers and other partners using all media.
- Being professional and tactful with customers and enhancing relationships at all times.
- Assisting with other general underwriting and broking and business needs as required.
SKILLS REQUIRED (in no particular order)
- An awareness and understanding of FSA rules and how to comply with them.
- Good telephone manner with the ability to listen, question and obtain information in a pleasant manner.
- The ability to work accurately and consistently.
- Good numeracy and analytical skills.
- Good record keeping is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good time management.
- Self motivated.
- Willing to challenge assumptions.
- An ability to work as part of a team is essential.
- Good sense of humour.
- Ability to use your own initiative and manage your own workload.
- Willing to study for Industry exams
