Medical Coordinator, Sudan - PartnerAid International

Start and duration: immediate, minimum 1 year

Work place and condition:
El Fasher, North Darfur, Sudan. As part of an international team, simple living standards, working mostly in the office with occasional field trips in insecure areas. Challenging work due to unreliable logistics and communication structures. Work schedule is 5 days a week from Sunday through Thursday. Significant attention must be paid to the risk of insecurity.

Profile:
The Medical Coordinator carries responsibility and oversight of 6-8 clinics and possibly more in rural areas in Darfur. He/She develops, plans, leads and implements and monitors the health program of PartnerAid in Sudan in conjunction with the PartnerAid Country Director, also based in El Fasher as well as the PartnerAid international and national staff members, local authorities and other relevant actors. He/She supervises medical staff of PartnerAid Health Care Centers and rural health posts and coordinates activities with the Ministry of Health. According to the available budget, he/she implements the health program. The Medical Coordinator ensures the quality of medical care and regularly training of the medical assistants about treatment and prescriptions.

What applicant offer:
Adherence to PartnerAid's values, degree in Public Health or education in Public Health, at least one year of experience in a public health related position, experience in medical report writing desirable, demonstrated experience working with other cultures, excellent English and extended knowledge of Arabic, proficient with MS Office Programs, passionate about serving the poor, appreciates principles of teamwork, willingness to share information, highly proficient organizational skills, ability to cope with fast moving environment where change is constant, committed to consultative leadership, able to train and coach others, good listener.
