Engineering Director, Kenya - Mission Aviation Fellowship
Submitted: 26/01/12 ; Closing Date: OpenBased in Nairobi, this person will be responsible for the management of the Kenya Aircraft Maintenance department to ensure that it meets the Christian values of MAF and the regulatory requirements of the Kenya CAA in providing airworthy aircraft to the Operations department. The Engineering Director, working closely with the Quality Manager, will operate a Quality Assurance Programme in the maintenance department.
The post-holder will also co-ordinate the provision of maintenance services and resources for other
programmes which lack the facilities or experience that are available in Kenya. An ICAO aviation maintenance licence is helpful but not essential for this managerial role. Experience in leadership in an aviation maintenance environment is required along with excellent communication skills and
an ability to work cross-culturally.
