Director of Community Development, Ecuador - HCJB Global

We are seeking an energetic and innovative person to provide strategic and visionary leadership to advance the goals of HCJB Global's Community Development ministry in Latin America.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall responsibility for strategic planning, stewardship of resources, including financial and personnel, and be committed to the pursuit of excellence, creativity and improvement in all Community Development projects and activities.
• Lead an international and multi-cultural team of community development professionals (missionaries and Ecuadorian nationals) who are engaged in water, sanitation and hygiene projects, medical caravan ministries, agricultural projects, and community health and evangelism projects.
• Be able to communicate and develop awareness and engagement with the vision, core values and distinctiveness of HCJB's Community Development ministry to the global Christian community and to donors.
• Investigate and implement new areas of community development ministry, especially as HCJB Global expands its vision in Latin America. This will involve securing the necessary personnel, financial and prayer resources that make new ministry initiatives possible.
• Be responsible for the vision and strategy for effective mobilisation of Christians for ministry worldwide.

Qualifications

• University degree and / or Postgraduate degree in the humanitarian or development sector; Postgraduate degree in the humanitarian or development sector preferred.
• Minimum of one year seminary education with Bible knowledge and biblical orientation for holistic community development.

Experience

• 2 years experience in middle to senior management position
• 5 years management experience in overseas community development or health projects desirable
• Experienced proposal & report writer
• Excellent English and Spanish communication skills (oral & written)
• Strong understanding of Latin American culture and ability to work across a diverse group of people

This position is non-salaried as all HCJB Global missionaries look to God to provide their personal needs.
