Agriculture Development Worker, Ecuador - HCJB Global

Your core responsibilities would include...
• Building relationships with indigenous communities where we operate and working with them to produce community resource management plans.
• Promoting sustainable agricultural and animal husbandry practices and providing training in these areas.
• Investigating, developing and facilitating sustainable agricultural and community garden projects with indigenous people groups.
• Sharing the hope you have with non-believers and discipling believers in a low key manner as you use your skills in agriculture.
Candidates should have technical preparation and experience and the willingness to learn and adapt their skills to the needs of rural Ecuadorian communities. Bible knowledge and biblical orientation for holistic community development are required. The job requires teaching, communication skills, project funding communications, and follow-up. A willingness to live, work and travel in remote isolated areas; and an ability to collaborate with a multi-cultural team of professionals with varied skills are required. Spoken and written Spanish language ability preferred. Those without Spanish language ability would need to commit to a period of language acquisition.
This position is non-salaried as all HCJB Global missionaries look to God to provide their personal needs.
