CU Missions Roadshow

This roadshow focusing on opportunities in mission will be visiting various College Christian Union meetings throughout the UK during the college year. The Roadshow will comprise a missions speaker, interviews with short- and long-term missionaries, a Powerpoint presentation, advisors, books, free literature and information. 'Goals In Extra Time'

Mission Agencies Partnership CU Mission Evenings in N. Ireland

A series of events around the CUs in Northern Ireland designed to inform and inspire about world mission.

Mission-Net

Mission-net is a new network formed by the European Evangelical Alliance and the European Evangelical Missionary Alliance. Our purpose is simple, we want to:
  • Encourage existing and promote new 'mission-net movements' on a national and regional level across Europe.
  • Encourage mobilisation and 'hands on' experience through facilitating and networking mission opportunities for young people at local, national and international level.
  • Bring Christian young people together through a pan-European mission-net event for mutual encouragement, teaching, training and mobilisation.

    Opening the Door on Islam

    A day conference to help Christians love our local and global Muslim neighbours. Start at 10.00am with registration and coffee. Finishes 4.15. Costs £5 (students and unwaged £3.00).     Wet Foot

    All Souls Church in Langham Place, London, run the 'Wet Foot Scheme' for people interested in getting their feet wet in cross-cultural Christian Service. They organise their own summer team each year and also send people to join teams run by others. They host an annual information afternoon and invite anyone who is interested in short term summer mission. Email for next event.

    World Changers/Go Global - Mission Enquirer Days

    These one day conferences for students, professionals, senders and supporters are designed to help those who want to work overseas or creatively support mission workers. The day includes speakers, seminars, exhibition displays, video, bookstall and interviews. Cost is usually adult £5, student & unwaged £3.     Advice & resources

    Christian Vocations

    CV offer a personal consultancy service for Christians wanting to explore if God may be leading them overseas. They also hold a lot of information on various jobs and vacancies so can give specific advice on these. 'High Time' is a programme they run to promote opportunities for the over 50's. CV also produce the STS Workbook, a study guide on mission and short-term service, as well as 'Thinking About Mission', seven bible studies designed for young people around the theme of mission.

    World Service Enquiry

    World Service Enquiry provides information and advice about working overseas. There is some good information on their web-site, too, including a guide in working for development at home and overseas. The World Service Enquiry also run an email course to help you think and plan your career in international aid and development. It has been developed with a renowned life coach who has many years of experience in training, recruitment and selection for international development and mission agencies.
