Advice needed on pensions and credit cards

Posted: 01/04/08
I'm looking for some advice. I have lived and served abroad for over 30 years, and have just retired to the place where I have ministered for the past 25, in France. Since part of my pension is paid in Britain, I need to use that money to live on now. Amazingly, my free debit card (Maestro) can be used less and less on line, because of my overseas postcode (even though my British accounts are all registered here).

Can anyone advise on a cheap (preferably free) credit or debit card useable by non-UK residents, or does anyone have experence of having British pensions paid abroad without an inordinate amount being creamed off by the banks?

Many thanks in advance for any shared experience.

We are looking for a 3 bedroom flat or house somewhere in Balham, Tooting, Clapham, Streatham, Mitcham, Wimbledon, Putney, preferably in Wandsworth area.

We have to move out of our currunt house by 30 June 2008 as our landlord & his family who were on mission in Kyrgystan are coming back to live.

We can afford the maximum rent of £800 pcm and can maintain the property and will be responsible for its upkeep.

On Offer: 2 Bed House for rent in Witham, Essex

Posted 11/04/08

We recently bought a property with retirement in view (11 years all things being equal!) and are about to complete decorations etc. Our desire is to make it available to full time christian workers at cost price. We estimate this to be £300 per month. In addition they would need to cover the actual cost of the gas and electric used.

The property is in a quiet cul de sac in Witham, Essex in between Chelmsford and Colchester which is on the A12 about 30 mins by car beyond Romford. There is a main line station to Liverpool St (45 mins) within walking distance. Witham is a country town with plenty of shopping within easy walking distance and a large Leisure Centre. There is plenty of country walking on the doorstep. The Essex coast (Maldon) is a short drive away and Stansted is within very easy reach.

The property has 2 good sized bedrooms and 2 large reception rooms. It will easily and comfortably accomodate a family of 4. We also have a sofa bed which will allow 2 extra guests to stay as well. There is a nice small secluded garden (with a pond).

On Offer: 4 Bed House for rent near Waterlooville, Hampshire

Waterlooville House

We are looking for new tenants for our home in Cowplain near Waterlooville in Hampshire and wonder if there is any need for a missionary family for a home for a year or so - a 4 bedroomed house - see photo - the outgoings would have to be covered like Council tax and utilities and if possible a small amount to help our small mortgage. This house could be partly furnished (as now) or we could furnish it completely. We will be in UK in July and could get the house ready then but it could be let in mid May if needed.

Church Planting in Spain

Posted: 05/03/07
We planted a church 5 years ago in Salamanca, Spain, and it has grown for the God's glory. Now as the church is growing we are seeking contact with some mission organizations who want to help us to reach this part of the globe. We desperately need volunteers to help us in creative arts and evangelism. We are among thousands of students and young people, we cannot provide support but we have a great heart and we would see how can we work together with these organizations for God's kingdom.
