Main areas of activity can include
- Diagnose and treat patients
- Manage and train local health professionals
- Set up and support Primary Health Care Clinics, Referral Centres and Health Posts
- Set up and manage health projects
Please note: All health professionals working with Medair should be prepared to take on a managing role, as the position will not consist of “hands-on” health provision alone.
Specific requirements
- Degree in nursing or midwifery; training in Primary Health Care or Tropical Medicine an asset
- Minimum 1 year post-graduate professional experience, ideally in a developing country
- Project management training/skills
- Flexible team-player who adapts well to change
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of French or Arabic an asset
Term: 2 year contract (first year voluntary depending on experience)
