Posted: 04/06/08 ; Expires: 31/12/08Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is an inter-denominational Christian mission with an evangelical emphasis, providing aviation, information systems and logistics services to mission, local Churches, relief and development organisations in developing countries.
MAF has a Statement of Faith that forms the foundation of its work; each applicant will need to signify that they are in agreement with this document. All members of staff share the values of the mission and have a mature faith which informs the way in which they work.
We recruit suitably trained and experienced staff from the UK for the overseas operational needs of MAF worldwide. MAF UK is only able to recruit those who are UK citizens or legally resident in the UK.
ENGINEERING DIRECTOR
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the post-holder will be responsible for the provision of centrally co-ordinated aviation services for other MAF programmes; working closely with the Quality Manager, to maintain a quality assurance programme and to ensure that the maintenance operation meets the Christian values of MAF and the regulatory requirements of the KCAA in providing airworthy aircraft. An ICAO aviation licence is helpful but not essential for this managerial role. Experience in leadership in an aviation environment is required along with excellent communication skills, and an ability to work cross-culturally.
