International China Concern (ICC) is a Christian development organisation changing lives by bringing love, hope and opportunity to China’s abandoned and disabled. ICC provides homes for life, medical services, therapy, special education and vocational training for more than 200 abandoned and disabled children and young adults. ICC also runs training programmes for social welfare workers across China and is committed, long term, to reducing abandonment.

International China Concern have a vacancy for a China Teams Coordinator to be based in Hunan Province, China.

  • Act as an ambassador for International China Concern to team members, ensure they understand the work, have a positive team experience and are inspired to continue involvement
  • Work closely with the China Teams Administrator (UK) to oversee logistics and the running of scheduled teams and visitors
  • Complete all pre-arrival arrangements for the scheduled China Teams to allow for a smooth transition of team members from Hong Kong into China
  • Prepare team budgets and manage expenses
  • Determine work arrangements for team members for the duration

Skills                The role requires a ‘people’ person with strong organisational, communication and leadership skills. Being able to problem solve and maintain calm in a crisis is essential.
Language        Mandarin Chinese is essential though consideration will be given to those in a language learning programme.
