Posted: 23/06/08; Expires: 31/12/08The Gospel for Asia home office staff works behind the scenes from York to help prayer and financial support 16,500 national missionaries who are sharing Christ and planting churches among the most unreached in South Asia.
To keep up with the growth on the mission field, we are seeking new staff to serve in our York office in handling administrative aspects of our ministry to the UK church.
We are seeking an individual capable of working on a team to direct, produce, and deliver direct communications with friends and partners of the ministry, maintain database integrity, produce ministry materials and lend to the ‘big picture’ of our direct communications strategy. While all these abilities are not necessary, the ability to serve as one part of a team is.
Serving with Gospel for Asia is a ministry calling rather than a job. Your service will enable hundreds of missionaries to impact thousands of village and potentially thousands upon thousands of people in Asia will hear about Jesus and receive eternal life through Him.
Prior training or experience required
Technical training and experience are welcomed but not required. Minimal requirements for staff:
- Born-again Christian at least 3 years.
- Heart to reach the lost.
- UK resident.
- Good English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- Has attended/served in local church body at least one year (current pastoral reference required).
- Humble, teachable, willing to serve wherever most needed.
Salary and Benefits
Gospel for Asia offers need-based compensation, generally based on family size, not position or seniority. Staff raises support to cover the cost of their salary. GFA provides support-raising training, materials, and a personal mentor to help.
