Director of Programs, Congo - Food for the Hungry UK (FH-UK)
Posted: 05/02/08; Expires: 31/08/08FH Congo are looking to appoint a salaried Director of Programmes for the Katanga region in DR Congo for an initial period of one year with possibility of contract renewal.
The main responsibility is the management of a large portfolio of grants from USAID and UN for Food Security, Infrastructure, Water & Sanitation and Health activities, including planning, development, staffing, budgets, monitoring & evaluation and reporting of programmes. He/she will support the Country Director in developing funding opportunities and will provide leadership to approx 120 expat and national staff over four remote field sites.
We are looking for:
- A Christian who is committed to see wholistic community transformation happen (i.e. physical, social, mental, spiritual)
- A strong networker (with donors and other NGOs)
- Masters Degree in Development, Social Sciences or relevant technical sector
- Good relevant experience in programme management, especially with USAID
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and French
