Your own account
With each of the following packages, you have your own account and can update your own information on the OSCAR website. This means that your details can be accessed and changed by you whenever and as often as you like, giving you complete control of your content on the OSCAR website.If you're interested in one of these packages, contact us at and tell us your prefered email address you would like to have registered with us, we will then send you your account details. Then it's over to you. Advertising your vacancies online entitles you to a discount for advertising them at some of the major Christian exhibitions that OSCAR is involved in.
Bronze Package (FREE)
Basic Listing
You will be able to add/update your listing in either the Mission or Service Organisation Directory through your account. This includes your organisation name, a brief summary about you and your contact details. With many mission enquirers and overseas workers coming through OSCAR, it is important to keep the information in your basic listing on the OSCAR website up-to-date. Alternatively, you can update your info by email to or by using the online form at www.oscar.org.uk/about/suggestlisting.htm .
* Only mission organisations with a UK office or representative are included in the mission organisations directory.
Silver Package (£50)

This is a page hosted within the OSCAR website which provides you with a dedicated page for your organisation. Unlike the basic listing you have in the mission or service organisation directory, here you can include as much text as you like to inform visitors about your work. There is also a direct link to your Link Page from your basic listing (which also gets highlighted).With OSCAR's high search engine ranking, having a Link Page is a significant way through which you can raise your own organisation's online profile and website ranking. This is a page purely for your organisation but optimised by us for the search engines. Many of the Link Pages from previous years have achieved top 10 placings with search engines*.
This Link Page will include:
- Organisation name
- Organisation details (determined by you, as much or as little as you want)
- Logo and/or text links to your website
- A list of your job opportunities hosted with OSCAR
* We cannot guarantee any particular placing with search returns as these are determined by the search engines and change frequently
Individual Vacancies/Opportunities
Advertising vacancies on the Bronze or Silver packages is on a 'Pay-As-You-Go' basis. The cost for each vacancy listing is £25 ... for a 6 month (180 day) listing.Gold Package (see fees table below)
Link Page + Unlimited Job Vacancies
This package provides all that the Bronze and Silver packages offer PLUS the facility for you to add as many vacancy listings during the year as you want. This includes short term, medium term (gap year) and long term overseas vacancies as well as UK based vacancies with your organisation. Each vacancy gets its own page, making this very search engine friendly, and a list of all of your current vacancies will appear on your Link Page. Vacancy listings will need to be updated every 6 months (180 days) but with this package there is no charge for doing this and you can do it yourself through your account whenever you like. We listed around 250 vacancies on our site during 2008. Some types of vacancies are more popular than others. Our best performing vacancies received over 700 page views each and over 100 referrals each through to the organisation's website. With our new system, these vacancies are now searchable by type, location & activity as well as using any keywords. We are also partnering with other recruitment and mission websites to promote these vacancies (i.e. Jobrapido now lists all of our UK based vacancies).
